Automatically BCC
Tick Automatically BCC and you'll be copied (by BCC) on every email anyone on your team sends from VenueDB to a client or vendor — new messages, replies, and automatic ones like portal invitations. It's meant for an owner or manager who wants a record of what's going out.
- It's per person: each team member chooses for themselves, and several people can have it on at once.
- It covers your whole company, not just one venue.
- You're never added twice if you're already on the message.
- Clients and vendors can't see BCC'd addresses.
Email signature
The signature box works like Gmail's. Two tabs:
- HTML — the formatted signature people see. Type in it, or paste a signature you already have (from Gmail, Outlook or a signature generator) and it keeps its layout, tables, logos, colors and links.
- Text — the plain-text version for mail programs that can't show formatting. Leave it empty and VenueDB makes one from your HTML.
Formatting tools
The toolbar offers bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, insert image, link, left / center / right alignment, a horizontal line, text color, highlight, font size and clear formatting. The </> button switches to the raw HTML if you want to edit it directly.
Images and GIFs
Choose Insert image to paste an image's web address, or Upload a file (PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 3 MB). Animated GIFs work. Uploaded images are stored so recipients can see them.
Click an image to select it. Drag a corner to resize it, or use the bar underneath: Small, Best fit, Original size, Edit alt text or Remove.
Links
New links appear in your signature's text color with no underline, so they look tidy. A link that already has its own color or underline when you paste it keeps it.
Fill in from my details
Fill in from my details builds a simple starter signature from your name, title, company, phones and email. It only fills the box; it isn't saved until you press Save.
When it's used
Your signature is added to new emails you send from VenueDB (and to automatic ones, like a portal invitation sent for you). It is not added to replies. Turn it off any time with Include signature in new emails.
